Two SS fuel manafolds, 16 ft of hose and "8" AN fittings, $365.00....

$75 for a set of Mercury round-hole exhaust gaskets... No thanks, I'll give Summit a call for $25.

I'm able to get some things at cost for about 1/2 the price. You wouldn't believe the markup on some stuff.

Automotive and marine exhaust manifolds are not interchangeable, as the marine must be water-cooled.

Think of the load on a marine engine to be similar to driving your car in first gear ALL the time. A passenger car engine would never hold-up for very long under marine conditions.
That's why marinizers start with the heavy-duty truck engines.
Truck engines usually have beefier cranks, forged pistons, better rods, etc.
I'm not defending the price gouging, just showing you that in certain aspects you need better stuff.

is because the demand and supplys situation, how many cars are vs. how many hp boats?
