18 foot waves in Sydney at the moment

Surfs up in Sydney Australia at the moment. We have 5 to 8 metre waves, that is 18 to 26 feet.

Hope it stays till the weekend.... :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

Fortunately those waves are just outside Sydney. :D

if they were IN Sydney there would be problems, mate!

We went on a snorkeling trip off the Great Barrier Reef. They were going to cancel with only 3 to 4's. We though that was small for a 60' aluminum cat.

Turns out it was 3-4 meters, like 15 feet. The boat would dance on each of the sponsons but we made the trip without using the barf bag. Can't say the same for most of the others on board.

I was caught in some killer waves about 100 miles out from Cairns going to Holmes Reef. Big storm poped up from nowhere, it was quite an experience. Our dive expedition was on a 60 foot motorsailer.
