Real Problem in South Florida

Well after we keep getting slammed with these god forsaken storms, Now auto, home and especially marine insurance is getting VERY crazy down here. If anyone knows of a company that writes marine policy's in South Florida for NOT 6-7-8% of the insured value of a boat (thats a bunch of BS as far as I am concerned) I need some insurance help. If ANYONE knows of a solid company that will insure performance boats down here for a reasonable rate, could you please either post it up here or PM me. Im in a real jam and need some help with this insurance bs.
Thanks guys! Appreciate any help in this matter.
Jason

I went to their site yesterday and entered the online application. Ill have to follow up with them today to see if they can extend insurance to me at this time or not. Any and All numbers would be greatly appreciated, Im guessing I have to shop them all to find out what my best options are going to be dollar for dollar in comparison to the amount of coverage I want to carry.
Sy told me yesterday he cant help me. The GODFATHER of insurance referred me to his TX office to see if they could help me.
That one shocked me! SY could not get it done reasonably. Why I think I am in trouble. Good credit score, no tickets, accidents in the last 10+ years, nothing bad at all. Just these storms are having a major effect on life down here.

YUP....I heard from clients that they are getting special notifications from their insurance carriers not take their boats to FL at any time. Their insurance would not be covering ANY FLORIDA boating even if just for a weekend no matter wht time of year it is. That is hardcore trouble for you guys :(

www.imiscorp.com

Check the contact page and talk to Reese Scott. Great guy with a lot of contacts. Insured my Sonic much cheaper than the other guys.

Okay waiting for call backs and quotes on these places.
So far im at 6400 a year for Markel
Whom I can honestly say can kiss the fattest part of my a$$.

I might have to register the boat somewhere else and put some sort of Rider on it that it can come down here and get it out of here in the hurricane season.
This is PURE BS!

here's an interesting concept.
A. if you cant afford the ins, then you cant afford the boat.
B. If you can afford the ins. then you can probably afford not to have any.
