What does avs stand for on some scarabs. Advanced Ventilation Steps???

Man, I miss the scarabs...I realize they ceased operations a couple years back, but I talked with a guy who bought a 2002 33 scarab AVS (one of the last) and he said they are "back in business" under a different name in California. I'm assuming Larry Smith has something to do with this...anyone have more details?

Larry smith is scarab racing he builds 38 42 racers and some cruisers

www.teamscarab.com the 33 is great!! We built one that goes 120!!
