Some people liked Jim , some didn't. We all know that he was definitely one of a kind! He always told me that I put him out of business in 1999 when I brought the Warlocks here from California. Of course he had that sh__ eating grin and a beer in his hand when he was saying that. He'd appreciate us talking about him on here. BH

Wow,
I remember driving by his place 15 years ago and stopping in the showroom thinking how cool it was that a guy could actually build fast boats right here in our home town. I loved the faint smell of styrene while admiring Jim's latest hot colored graphics. As a teenager I used to go to the showroom and dream of one day firing up my very own Python.
I have to say that Jim's operation at Python was a major influence on me getting started building boats. He was definatley a character and I gotta say that he was also a diehard boater. It seems that every time I have been on the lake I have either seen him livin it up on a house boat with a beer in hand or runnin the crap out of one of his boats.
Thanks for your contributions to the sport Jim, God bless.

Sad news. I drove to Buford to pick up my 18' Vyper from him in the mid-90's and put an Alpha SS drive on it like Jim's personal boat. He gave me a great factory tour. His son Dave was running Majestic Marine next door. If Dave see's this - I'm very sorry for your loss.
