Still waiting for the goof to call me back and tell me where my custom rear box cover is.

Reason for leaving the drives down? "oh your boat is so small (30 feet that he has trailered before) I had to drop the drives down to keep trailer weight on the tounge due to my cool truck being jacked up." Or, words to that effect.

i was wondering that same thing. dont see how that would change tongue weight in any way. if anything i would think you want the drives up as far as possible (which you would anyway) because of the increased truck heigth.

sorry to hear about this CBR. thats a great boat you have.

Well, if the drives are up it would tend to send a little of the weight farther back and reduce tongue weight-but only by a small amount and if it's that much of a problem, other changes need to be made  Any how, the guy sounds like a hack.

Ok so who was the hauler?
really please out the co that did the hauling so no one else here has the misfortune of having this type of thing done to thier boat! seems oso'ers were watching out for you, so please do the same by exposing this person and watching out for the rest of us in turn.

CBR appears to still be trying to get some missing items from the guy. It is probably in CBRs best interest to let this thread die out a bit.

I agree that we need to know whom this person is; but lets let CBR take care of his business. In the mean time, if you need to know to avoid this person in an immediate hired tow; try PM'ing CBR.

After all is said and done with CBR and the outstanding issues, the truth will come out.

Update, never did get my missing box cover from the trailering "adventure" and "professional captain" boat mover. Boat is STILL oozing water from the foam under the floor from the soaking it got. Simply staggering to find out the marina is still using the same goof, even after I told them about what he did to my boat.

Note: always ask your trailer guy if he has "bad knees" and is incapable of EVER going onto your boat while it is on the trailer. This guy seems to be too good or special grade to bother to attach your cockpit cover while stopped in the rain for several days. Claims to have bad knees, likely B.S. Also make it clear that the boat is not to be moved, ever, if the drives are down while on the trailer. Good luck, I am exploring the DIY north south trailering route again.

Thanks again to OSO Board God Steve, and all concerned about quality service, or the lack of, from long haul tow miesters.
