Hey Sharkey....what year were those races in Flushing Meadow Park?....It brings back some good memories seeing the buildings that are left from the old World's Fair. I grew up going to that park almost every weekend....My grandfather and father (our Family Buisness) actually built most of those buildings then did the demo on even more of them after the fair was over.....I actually have some good home video somewhere of them assembliing the unisphere (Globe).....I still pass by almost everyday but have not been in there in many years. Never even knew they actually raced in the lake...........

I would say that was back around 1990.
Other than the water being shallow and green, we had a great time there.
The back stretch was always good for a bit more air under the hull with going into the wind...
That was the year I was racing both the APBA OPC boats and Offshore at the same time...
