This is the 40 that I rode on. It was Baja's poker run boat a couple of years back with triple 525's.

I have a 2005, 40 Outlaw. I wanted a great looking, new boat that could run on Lk. Michigan without worrying about rough water that I could afford. We had it custom painted by Mitcher T. Power is twin 496 HO's. Top speed now with CMI headers is 66 gps, loaded with fuel, people and gear. I expect it will top out at just under 70 when we're done tweaking props, and moderate weight. We have 80 hours on the boat from one season's use. After one season we had a problem with the horn, one starter wire came loose and a couple cabin door screws came loose, that's it. No cracks or other defects have shown up. I am extemely pleased with the build quality, fit and finish. The boat looks like it did the day we picked it up from the dealer. If I had it to do all over again, and seeing all the other boats on the market, such as Donzi, Fountain, Formula, I'd buy a 40 Outlaw with twin 496's and custom Mitcher T paint. By the way, It helps to have a great dealer who will take care of you when you need warranty work or mechanical service. This is our third Baja since 2001.

Gook luck on your next boat purchase.
