Default Opinions on Velocity's 39v ?

Velocity is planning on making a strong v bottom presence at LOTO , just wondering what opinions are on the rough water ride, performance, pricing, the boat looks awesome and without steps I would think would be a good handling boat. I've heard nothing but great things from Steve and his boats over the years and I know we need a good line here now, seems like new V's are very scare on LOTO right now, must be pricing.

Boat is really fast, guy in FL has the V10 powered one. He had been trying to sell it. I think Velocity boats are fast and priced right but I personally don't like the deck design and the transoms are really high/ block like. I think with the right paint they could be better looking. They are real popular in central FL since they are made there.

Velocitys are very fast competively priced V bottom boats. They have a large pad bottom. I would suggest taking a ride in one if you have a chance.

The boat with the v10s is a 36. I have owned 2 , on stag. Thay are fast. And will out turn anything on the water! My friend just orderd a 390 full stag. with 600s. Im now running a 390 with 500s and with 29 hydros by hulls it runs a real 86-87.

I have known Steve for many years, and can only say that he is one of the highest quality builders in the business.

His boats are very fast and the designs come from his own personal knowledge as a racer, of what works and what doesn't.

Anyone considering one of his boats, can rest assured that they will be getting one of the top boats on the market today.

I have had both the 39 with 500efi's and the present 41 with Ilmors and both are fantastic boats. If I were to ever sell my 41, I would build another 39 stagger with the latest Ilmor package.
The 39 Velocity/Ilmor package will be hard to beat. If you need a lot of cabin space the 41 is your best bet. If you want speed then go 39.

aren't velocity boats a bit light as far as the layup is concerned? they sure are fast, especially for a non-step bottom, but is this at the expense of long-term longevity?

I watched a guy win a P Class race in Cambridge MD back in 04 with a 30 ft Velocity from back in the 80's. I think it was Pre Regal.
