Fuel Tank Material For Future Fuels

It is my understanding, there has been generation evolution in the family of under ground fuel storage tanks.Regardless of the core material,be it steel or fiberglass,an additional coating is now being applied or impregnated inside the tank.Further, recently it has been said,a new unlabeled prototype coating material is being tested. The new material would replace material otherwise used.Present spec. is thought to be resistant to 100% ethanol at 150 Deg....Ethanol seems to bring a consequence and application learning curve.....It seems logical,!00% Ethanol in present formulation, may not end the liquid energy story....For example:unverified,an intellectual property for 6 (six) cycle combustion engines now exists....Therefore,while presently, focus is concern for the boats fuel system/tanks and engines, it would be frustrating to find "whatever" had to done again....any response would be appreciated.
