Kiekhaefer Tunnel Tab parts...
 

Who would I talk to if I needed some parts for the Kiekhaefer tunnel tab on my 30' Spectre???

First and most importantly I need the bolt that goes through the tab and the hydraulic ram and then tapers down a couple times and the tab indicator slides onto it. Second would be the Hubbell compression fitting that the Morse cable goes through on the transom bracket for the tab. The bolt is the biggie though as I can improvise something for the cable if need be.

I called Spectre this morning and haven't heard back. Am trying to get this back together soon as it's boating season out here. Who am I kidding, it's been boating season for months out here. :D :D :D

Based upon the logo that is in the tab itself, the guy I talked to at SC Marine said it's a Kiekhaefer. Looks very K'ish with a circle and nothing like any recent Dana tabs I've seen. Thanks though.

There is a single ram on it and that bolt is about 7" long.

then acctuators for the part for th thru hull,
I looked at the k planes but don't see the bolt with the actuator stub on the end, I'm thinking its in Mercury's catalogs somewhere.

Thanks Caleb. I was looking at the same thing. Might have to give them a call tomorrow and pick their brain. It's at least a step in the right direction. Thanks again for the help on here. I appreciate it.

Just have to hope nothing ever happens to that cylinder as they're all kinds of proud of those things. YIKES!!!! :eek:

UPDATE: Couldn't find the exact part based upon the pics so I sent an email last night around 11:15 or so with the picture of what I needed and had a response back with a link to the part (including the thru-hull cable clamp) back in my inbox before 4 AM. Pretty impressive. Placed the order and should have it Thursday. Thanks again for all the help. I've got that place bookmarked for anything else I might need. :cool:

Already got it handled. Thank you so much for your reply though. Missed it by a couple of minutes. I'll keep you in mind next time. It's amazing what a little response does, and I do keep track of who helps when it comes time to place orders. ;)
