Default Picture of Thrull Hull Livorsi Transducer mounted

I looking for a picture of a Livorsi Thru-Hull Transducer that has been installed. I have a model #GL610THT and the directions are vague ! I do not know which side to mount against the hull. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a Thru-Hull (inside the hull) . It must be the smooth side that that has to epoxy to the hull, the wire side has 2 ears that create a large void that would make it very difficult to epoxy.

The transducer is round like a puck with 2 small ears like a snap type connection.

the ears go up, take a piece of sand paper and roughen up the smooth side a little do the same to the gelcote where you are going to mount it

This is funny how you posted this today. I am installing mine tommorow and I had the same question. The instructions are very vague.
Thanks for asking the question.

Yep, smooth side down. Another trick to find the optimum location is to take a larg zip lock bag put the 'ducer in it and fill the bag full of water. Put your boat in the water and move the bag around until it reads perfect. This way you are not mounting it blind where you could mount it over some bubbles in the lay up.
Also from your Avitar I assume you are mounting this in a Concept? If so Concept does not core the hull bottom and you should be able to mount it just about anywhere. If it is not a Concept make sure the hull bottom is not cored because the 'ducer will not shoot through coring. Also make sure you do not mount the ducer on top of a strake because it will not shoot through the putty in the strake and do not mount the 'ducer right behind the end of a strake because of the water turbulance coming off the strake the 'ducer will not read.
Personally I have never had god luck with shoot through 'ducers. When I had my Concept I just mounted it on the transom and I could read the bottom up to 55mph!

Thanks guys ! Thats why I love this site.

I called Todd at Livorsi and left a message. He called me back within 15 min. and told me the same thing. I have ordered a half dozen things from Livorsi and they have the best customer service.

Rocco, I do not know because I never looked. You could call Concept and they could tell you.
