need your advice tonight (saturday) on Drives
Ran my new 89 F35-7 for the first time today. If I want to go forward, I have to shift lever toward the back of the boat and shift towards the front for reverse. I run TRS with transmissin by the way. I heard if the transmission rubs reverse at high speed such like going forward, I could burn up the transmissin... What do I do? Boat ran well but do I switch props ? How can I tell if they are running in the right direction?

Doesnt the counter-rotating drive have an "L" on the propshaft? I'm skeered of the gators in the backyard or I'd go look at mine

Make sure transmission lever going forward towards engine.
If the rotation of the trans is correct the L H drive should turn in the same direction as the engine. You will burn up the clutch
packs running in reverse.
