Noise is and will be your biggest issue. If you arent close to 90db, dont bother trying to enjoy the lake. You will be ticketed and asked to leave. I can tell you that this will be the biggest issue with the authorities this season. Otherwise, Its a great place to enjoy a vacation

Guys I looked at the map, there are a ton of places to camp. Which Island would you recommend, one that does not have a ranger station on it. I'm sure my boat is at least 90db at idle so I want to stay away from those guys. Any place to dock up to a restaurant that you guys could recommend.
Thanks :drink:

Don't bother going without mufflers, if you do bring your checkbook. Tickets flow like water.

The sound is the same as a 525 boat, would that pass up there.

Ranger stations are on Glen Island, and Long Island, but if you are there in August there are TONS of patrols, seems that every agency in NY has a boat and wants to patrol Lake George.

Noise wise, if you have twin Big Blocks with no mufflers, you aren't going to pass 90db. Last number I heard was $250 for noise tickets.

I just read a consultants report to the LG commission, and noise and serenity are BIG issues in it. so my guess is they are gonna be checking.
