Re: Price of fuel - impact on boat market?
I'm on Lake Cumberland and there is a noticeable drop in the number of boats cruising the lake, especially performance boats. The dock hands say that instead of filling up like they used to, most of the people gassing up get $30 or $40 worth and just park it in a cove instead of cruising the lake.
There used to be 20 - 30 performance boats at the dam every Friday and Saturday night lining up to race each other. Now you are lucky to see even a handful of performance boats at the dam and they just park it.

Hopefully, we won't be seeing more of this happening due to the fuel prices. However, it wouldn't hurt my feelings if it knocked ALL of the jet skiiers off the water!
Now we'll just have to work on a plan for the blow-boaters (aka sail boaters) whom love us "blowing" by them so much (no pun intended! ).
