3blade 23P to 4blade 24P?
I want to apologize first for all the recent new threads by me, but we are new to the power boat scene(and it is badazz) and I like to do my own research. Your help has been greatly appreciated.
I have an 01 H2X with 496 mag. It has the 3blade 23P prop right now. Out of the hole acceleration/plane time is sluggish and it seems like I could get an overall better prop. A little more top end wouldnt hurt either. How does a 4blade 24P sound? Lab'ed?

22 4 blade is the equivilant to the 23 3 blade.
24 may be too much for you. what kind of boat and what power? you should check the brand specific forums to see what other owners have experienced with experimenting....will save you time and $$.

Unless your RPM's are too high on the top end, going to a 24P 4-blade will most likely not help. Like Hiperf200 said, switching to a 22P 4-blade would be a better choice. Most likely you will find a better holeshot, better acceleration, but lower top speed.
Checking with your fellow Baja owners is surely the best bet. Before I switched from my 23's to 24's, I was about 100 RPM too high. So the switch didn't hurt much. But , holeshot=much better, mid-range acceleration and cruise speed=awesome, top end=slower. I checked with other Formula owners, too, before I purchased.
Good luck.
