my results on 38 zr comp 575s

5 blade 31 Hering ..hard to get on plane, good mid range excellent top (no difuser ring)

34 lab 4 blade bravo better out of the hole, mid range not good, top end 2 mph slower than hering. (good all around prop)

5 blade hydro 32 same as 4 blade bravo

5 blade maximus 32 non lab great out of hole, good mid range, 5 mph slower top end.(clunked hard in & out of gear.)

with some seat time i liked the Hering the best.

the maximus may be good labed.

just my 02 cents....

The Herrings work the best, but you have to leave the diffuser ring on. Once you cut the ring getting on plane is a bear! we sold 7 38 ZRs and tried them with Bravos, Maximus and Herring and for top end the Herrings are still the best.
Bravo 1 top speed 84 MPh
Maximus top speed 85 mph
Herring top speed 89-90 mph

Why did they make this boat such a bear to get on plane?

What would 1" spacers do to performance on this boat?
