Re: None Skipping CD player (head unit)
I am using an older Rockford headunit that has a 10sec memory built in and have had good luck with it so far, and it allowed me to use wired remotes which was a big plus
rxm-9220 I think, MB quart also rebranded the same model as the 450
good luck

Re: None Skipping CD player (head unit)
Just installed a sirrius sattelite radio. 150 channels and it doesn't skip, I wont have to buy a new "marine" hahahahaha head unit every other season( dam clarion junk lasers) and I kept the 6 pack cd changer for docked use if I want.
Couldn't be happier now.

Sony CDX-MP70 or CDX-MP80 both will not skip.
They are older units and can be found on ebay.
They also have LCD display and can be seen in sunlight.
I have had them (so does Nauti-Props & 340Vyper) on my 34 PQ and my TG and absolutely no skipping. They have some special drive that doesn't skip, but also locks the disc in place.
Also has AUX inputs for iPod which doesn't skip and supports XM satellight.
Has port for remote contol which can mount on your dash.
It is the ultimate boat radio IMHO.

All that being said, the future lies in the ipod setup. With the wireless FM channel configuration you can actually have say four boats opposite each other at the dock, or even in a raftup, with all four sound systems blasting off one ipod. How cool is that...
