The Goldcap recent reformulation at least is a bit heftier on the additives vs. Redcap.. more ZDDP and Boron...it's an offroad oil...so we can use it. Those low ZDDP automobile oils can ruin an offshore engine.

The interesting thing is that the "extended" oils just have more of the same additives...additives however can make or break an oil. Other than "labeling and advertising" they should have left the cap red...I like red caps better.

This product is being used a lot out to 50 hrs with great success.

I now buy the 20w 50 Amsoil which I consider superior to Mobil One according to all the test. It runs about $6 a quart. It has an oil change interval far superior to the other brands. I have used Amsoil exclusively now in all my boats and trucks. Absolutely perfect for my applications.
