New Awesome 43 Cat Looks Awesome
Visited the New Awesome facility, tooling and redesigning of the new 43 Supersonic is almost complete. This is going to be a luxury cat with excellent performance. cabin will be huge, I would think the largest in any cat under 50' with queen bed,sofa,can sleep 4, plasmas/dvd, sink, refrigerator, microwave, head, lighting,etc. It can also be produced without the cabin for the speed enthusiasts. expected speeds will be around 100 with 525's,boat ran 98 in 2001 powerboat mag tests before updates, however first boat will have 800's. They have added some cool features, all new dash layout, new interior seats which will hold 6 spaciously with room to move around, drive bustle extension, deck intake scoops,with or without nice sun pad for the ladies. boat will be 43'2" loa with 10'5" beam, This boat will be a wave crusher with a cabin found in a 40' V-Bottom at a reasonable price, and made in St. Louis, They also are producing a 32' Deck Boat with mid cuddy, walk out front and rear. 2 lounges, seating for 14, with all the amenities, and great rough water capabilities, twin sterndrives, or outboards.

Did they do any hull changes or did they just strech it again?
That hull started out as a 33' Express cat then became the 35' Profile and then Old Klem streched it again into a 38' it would need alot more work on the tunnel to make it a good working hull!

Marc, I have my 25th class reunion that weekend, Bruce and I had a CREW READY TO GO but forgot about the reunion . we will see you next year, have a great run. boat has not been stretched, already 40'2" add bustle andthe 43 has been retooled, it is a very nice cat, It ran 98mph in 2001 before updates in mags powerboat tests with 575'sI think that is around 100, Bruce has modernized the tunnelwith some speed enhancements, and boat will be over 500lbs lighter in layup, plus without cabin will pick up another 500lbs. I'm sure powerboats tests and Bruces calculations are more accurate then to just say it wont do it, with 496 ho's probably mid 80's jim
