I don't understand how you can all keep saying that they didn't hit anything, all it takes is a small nick for the water to get in and hydraulic off a piece of skin. They may have hit something and not even known it.

looks like a very dry lay up, maybe moving steps around for adjustment and didnt get enough peneteation in the fibers, if there was an lose edge the water could just rip it off. just my 2cents :rolleyes:
