As for old school new, taking an older mold and building it with todays tech is probably the dream of more than most on this site. I see it growing, it will take time. Mark Mc Manus has always had the ability to build a new boat, but why not wait for the customer, I've never heard him turning anyone down.? if someone called him and wanted one, I'm quite sure his response was , "sure thing" Why would he turn away taking care of the existing tribe? no need to, it means plenty for a buyer to know that their boat went back to Apache to be serviced, whether they built it or not, the standards still apply.
Personnaly, I think the market for pro-touring boats has only been scratched....build them, they will come.
very interesting thread...

"WE BUILD HI-PERFORMANCE PLEASURE BOATS"
Never compromise your passion.
compare it to the housing market, how many are upgrading their current model, rather than buying new?
the direction of my comment was to Marc Blondin saying this market is dead...and that is what I disagree with.
You know you want to Pat, go ahead, that 43 will look great with old school styling...

I agree also, boat to date looks awesome, Pat's fine tuning the plug..Old School looking boats with that offshore look are awesome in my book, I believe this new 43 with a few of the changes Pat is making will be a welcome to the market place, you never know whom might buy one.
This thread has aboviously taken a turn of hidden agenda's and usless bantor....
bottom line... if anyone wants to know the real story, just pick up the phone...

The only agenda i had was to tell more of the Chief story and why there werent 6 more Chiefs out there
It was a question that was asked I was qualified to answer
I also offered my opinion, not a demand that everyone buy into my theories only to share my view
Other agendas have been laid out and i will take the high road on this
It has been said to "take the board out of your eye before you take the splinter out of mine" I hope some keep that in mind
Merry Christmas all
PS for the record In my opinion The Chief (The one that was built) Apache, And Saber are all great boats
