Maximus....could you post some more details about the weekend?

Pits open on Friday in front of the Queen Mary, what day and time is the actual race.
Where does the course go, to Catalina and back or around the Island and back?
How many classes?
Local airports or chopper service tel numbers. Everyone I tried is already booked up.

there wasnt much notice, no promoting, no info, maybe no one showed.

I ended up coming back from Catalina Island the Saturday night before the race. As I was coming in about midnight (to Long Beach), I saw 3 boats taking off hard towards the break water.

Other than than (and maybe a dozen trailered boats at the Queensway Landing), I didn't see a whole lot of activity.

Maybe boats didn't start arriving until Sunday....
