I have a canopy style plexi-glass windshield. I know its bad to use windex on it, but how about RAIN-X?

I think almost all race teams use Rain-X on the canopies in a bad weather race condition.

I'd be very careful with Rain X and any plastic based windshields. I've seen it ruin things like this. Novus makes some nice product for this or possibly pure none petroleum carnuba wax.

be careful, a .99 cent rainX Swipe ruined my 100.00 ice hockey shield.. Customer service was great and they sent me a check right away. Was supposed to be safe but frosted it...

Rain-x uses something to clean the surface so the product stays on. Not a good idea .

I've used Pledge furniture polish for years. Never a problem and lasts.

I used it once on a Vette windshield and the wipers skipped and hit each other. I had to use gas to get rid of the stuff.

I use pledge on the whole boat seats and all, have for years. It's a great easy shine up.
