Re: How about a VW powered go fast?
No, it cannot be done. Lamborghini proved it.
Sometimes, it just doesn't work. The reasons may define logic, engineering principles and sometimes the laws of physics. It's just the way it is. |

Seen this engine at the Miami boat show in 2004. Look closly at the tag info! Then look at the size of the thing compared to the exhaust of an Ilmor V10 beside it!
The tag states 900 hp, 15 000 RPM, $254 000.00 !!!!!!! Now if it is true, thats the schit for a boat!!!! Anyone else see that |

Re: How about a VW powered go fast?
Jazz, Ray is working on a nice set up withe deisel,Mercury is secretly working on a new high performance deisel in the 1000hp range, I believe you will start to see alot more deisels very soon, the reliability, fuel economy , torque , lower sound emmissions, big hp blower motors are just too hard to keep running . I think the Arnesons are a nice drive for the current deisels available, good luck with your new 43, can't wait to see it, jim
