i have these monsters. and i have had them mounted on bell- housing but makes it so tight back there. i wanted to mount them under the motor somewhere or on a stringer but don't want the bilge to look cluttered. looking for suggestions.

I trimmed a little out of my motor mountswelded a half of a piece of stainless tubing ( cut lengthways) and welded it to the inside of the mount with braces. These were 3x18 and essentially were right behind the alternator along the side of the block.
to secure them i used stainless hose clamps with a piece of rubber between them and the tubing.
As Mike said above this way when you pull the engine everything is self contained, and very secure.
