Default Need an A-Frame engine hoist

Going into boat repair business. Where do I buy a good A-frame engine hoist system? Would like to go with an electric hoist that rolls on an I-BEAM.

Try Yard Arm. I don't know if they have a-frames but they make great boat dollies. Let me know if you find any good deals...I'm looking also.

I got one built that is bolted together so I can tear it apart, move it where ever needed, and put it back together in 10 minutes, as long you are at least to strong guy to lift it up on his legs once assembled on the ground. I use it to lift boats from trailer, cost was roughly 1000$ with 2 dolley and 2 chain blocks

Lots of different options in the Grainger catalogue. Not cheap but will give you an idea of what's available.

I bought one of these, but still haven't used it yet. Using the pulley, it's rated for 1320lbs. That's plenty for a fully dressed BBC. http://www.mercurymarine.com/496_mag...ut_sd_-_425_hp shows the whole setup including the outdrive and transom assembly weighs 1199, so the motor alone should be well within the limits of the hoist.
