what to cover pvc guides on boat lift with ?
 
looking to wrap my four , 2 inch pvc guide posts on my boat lift so they do not scratch any of the paint PLEASE ... any sugestions ????

Hey Cig275 - I've seen it done in carpet and foam. Mine has neither and I need to do as well :D :D Post pics when yours is completed :drink:

Mine are wrapped in carpet. Not the best looking but it works well.

What you need is to have REALLY long pieces of PVC that go all the way up over your rub rail even when the lift is all the way down at its drive on lowest. That way your rubrail always keeps you centered on the lift.

That's the way my are Brian. Never saw posts short like SeaDated's.

I would still like to cover mine even when they go up past the rub rail ... and I don't even own a Gladiator or 45 Max ;) :D :eek: :evilb:

My guide polls spin when they hit the rubrail, no need for any carpeting etc.

I used pvc pipe insulation (black foam). It fits perfectly to the size of pvc you have and does a good job of protecting the boat. I taped mine after putting them on with electrical tape.
