Looking for a OMC King Cobra drive that fits a 92 Four Winns Liberator. Any help or leads on one would be great, Thanks.

Re: HELP!! Looking for a King Cobra Drive......
This drive is actually for a friend his is a 92. I Owned a 90 221 Liberator for about 4 years before replacing it with a Fountain. I loved the liberator, after doing some motor work is was fairly quick & ran great, I too started having drive problems (wouldn't go into reverse all the time). The boat started nickle and diming me to death. After final repairs I figured it was a good time to move on. Its unfortunate, I had put alot of money into the boat, complete new intereior fixed all the gelcoat, hated to see it go!!!
But then again replaced it with a nice boat so not to many regrets.

i have also come across a formula 242LS with a busted up 454... it runs but need a rebuild... the boat seems really good otherwise... do you think i should go for the formula? i just love the lines of the libby tho....
thanks for any advice!!

There is a good chance that you can use a Volvo drive without changing the template holes and cut out.
Because of the OMC/Volvo joint venture the transom assemblies could be the same.
It's an option.
