I actually heard someone bought one of the Donzis in the Movie then had the upholstery redone and the boat repainted...

Do you think it lost it's collector item status after that or what?

The black 38ZR originaly had a black interior, no ZR graphic on the side (only "DONZI" on the rear quarters) and the cabin was not totaly finished. (This is how boat was @ Miami boat show.)

The boat then had the cabin finished, upholstery went from black to gray and the Donzi ZR graphic was placed on the hull side. That's how the boat was offered for sale. I don't know of any further changes.

Bad news Miami Vice fans . . . I got a call from the Marine Dept. on Friday and they tell me that the entire race scene has been cut from the movie. . . But it will be included in the DVD as a "deleted scene".

I'll still go see it.

My bet is there will be a lot more offshore boat scene than in "The Bridges of Madison County"...
