It is simply impossible to have the site cover the entire spectrum of speeds with what the customer now wants.
Everyone is picture crazy, every thread has pictures. They don't want to use the photos section for pictures. So, the members are creating some of the problem and the battle is impossible to fight on slow speed connections. Even Starbucks , airports, and Panera Bread offer high speed wireless internet for free and thats only to name a few. I turned the pics off but it didn't help much after a while. I was kind of making an observation I guess. I have access to high speed some of the time and dial up others. There's a huge difference. I'm sure that less and less people will be affected as more move to high speed. |
