Haven't been on the new Fountains but I was on a 42 non-step with tripples a couple dozen times and hated the ride. Maybe the new designs are better?

It was also a wet ride when it was rough. I don't think I've ever gotten wet on the Apache.... yet...

Where are all the Sonic and AT owners? I always hear how they're so great in the rough.

the 37 is great in the rough . see AT thread chicago poker run. A buddy of mine is so impressed with my 28 he is selling his 35 fountian to get a big Active he went for a ride with Pat and was very very impressed. they fly and land flat and soft. Just the free board alone makes you feel so safe and keeps you dry. like it was said above fountians are a wet ride.

How about a 2000 single step 38 TG. How do those ride. :D

At cruise, 40-60mph the 38' scarab. 37'10" with 8'9" beam, straight 24deg V with large lifting strakes carry the bow real well over the sloppy stuff. Over 60mph a 42 fountain is hard to beat.
