Default Donzi 27 ZR, what's the word on the street??

Haven't heard much lately.
I was really impressed with the Pictures, price, and speeds reported from the Miami show.
Anyone running one yet? What's the "real" world take on it? Handling?
Donzi hasn't updated there site to include this one, - so no real data there.

Well, I had the chance to inspect one up close and personal at a dealer yesterday and although in general its a good looking rig, with nice lines and proportion, the workmanship, fit/finnish and detail was a little disappointing. Some of the cheesiest nav lights i have ever seen. Crappy, poorly cut ( crooked, rough, chipped edges and not quite the right shape) little plastic red and green lenses siliconed( unevenly) into hull recesses. Engine venting that looked like it was cut by a drunk guy with a roto zip tool ( oval holes all wiggly and poorly gel coated )
Several gel repairs you could plainly see in the hull. Some uneven mold work highlighted by the dark blue hull sides on this particular boat.

My concern would be, if there is this much of a lack of finesse in extremely visible areas of the hull, what about where you don't see.

My 8 yr old daughter and my buddies 12 yr old boy were pointing out defects in the boat. If they could see the stuff that was glaringly sloppy, you know they stood out.

The sales man had a great sales pitch too. After seeing us arrive at the marina in my Daytona, he informed me that the donzi could hold more cold beer than my cat so I should buy it I then educated him on the fact that I had 2 large built in coolers so his sales pitch was falling a little short as the only reason I should buy it.

Air - That's a damn shame the boat looked like that - it really looked promising from all the reports from Miami. Hopefully for Donzi, that was just a single "lemon"
I'm not buying just yet, but was curious how the boat was, and if anyone has some real world experience with it.
Nice job with the salesman - because, it's all about how much beer you can carry KNOB.

Rat - wish I'd have known about that Cig sooner - even if it needs work, that went for a great price as long as it's "dry".
Right now, that be just about the ticket for me.

Rat - I just did a quick search on E-bay, and that boat is back up again - starting at 7900.
In the first ad, it had #2's - now he says it needs a pair of TRS's - WTF???

Trying to find a pair of TRS's would be a nightmare, Konrads would be the choice, but I'd have twice as much in drives alone than what the boat is worth - it needs a helluva lot of work. It would be worth it if the boat was at least complete.

Getting any e-mails on your's yet?? It took a few days before I got any interest in the BMW, and the Harley when I sold them on e-bay.
