Anyone loose a Mac hard drive... Bad Monday.
What a way to start off a new week. Came in, Mac acting all funny... Crash, kaboom - no hard drive. We back up the IBMs every week and I have asked myself why for the last 7 years. Now I see why. This thing was less than a year old (at least it is under Warranty) but guess what... No backup.
Anyone have any luck with any companies that pull information off hard drives? Any information would be appreciated. Anyone have any luck? Good luck that is?

hold down the shift key to start with extensions off. i wouldn't think of a hard drive right off...on a mac there could be several resons for a non functioning machine. try to boot to your cd you got with the machine buy restarting and holding down the c key.

Reindl, I lost a hard drive a couple of years ago on my 9600. I had just finished a 40-page spec guide in Quark, came in, and my drive was shot. I finally got the drive recovered--there was a lot more on there that needed to be got--for $1,500. It sounds outrageous, but you'll come around. The company is called "On Track." E-mail me if you need more info.
