Yep. We're keeping an eye on it. All indications as of today's forecast are keeping it at a tropical storm. Hopefully, it doesn't get to be much more than that.

Coming right at Miami. Lots of dry air left in Florida so it may weaken. We have a overnight run from Melbourne to Fort Pierce Friday-Sat. so let's hope that the weather will be OK for the run.

Driven1 you got that truck and trailer secured yet? I have my tie downs and ropes for the lift ready...that is all I can do.

I missed you all on Sunday. I had the camera and lenses ready and stayed out till around 5pm. We hung out at Eggmont for a long time then went down to Sarasota and the water south of St. Pete is so much more beautiful.
see ya

No truck or trailer, I think I will just ride the waves of the hurricane out to sea.
Sunday was a zoo, we ending up having around 50 people over for a BBQ. Of course that turned out into multiple boat rides for groups of people that wanted to go on the "cigarette" boat. So It would not have been a good time for pictures since each time I went out there was people back at the house waiting for the next ride. I will catch up with you next time.

Where did you go down in Sarasota? I have not headed that way with the boat yet.

Driven1, don't know how I missed that boat out on the bay. After hanging at Eggmont for a while we drove down the outside in the Gulf into Sarasota Bay and up a little of the Intracostal and back out Longboat pass. the water is beautiful down that way. As soon as we got to the Tampa Bay enterance the water turned dark brown again. We drove up to Shell Island and then back up the bay to home.

No biggie for you and me since we are far enough north. I have a buddy that lives in Key West and it looks like he is in trouble. The 5 day forecast has it going right over Key West. Last year his restaurant was closed for over a month due to flooding.

Driven,
Hope your buddy fares well, didn't mean to trivialize the storm, it's just part of the deal to live here in boater's Paradise, I feel.

I have a buddy too that owns a resturant and marina in Ft. Walton Beach, near Destin, and he had to rebuild his whole marina after Ivan, BUT, he rebuilt stronger and bigger than before. So it could head his way after it leaves the keys. We, personally, are prepared to teeth now after 2004! I have 2 waterfront properties on Merritt Island that I have to take care of as well. And the REAL hurricance season is just beginning too!
