Default Long Island Guys...Advice on Boating in the Great South Bay!

My girlfriend has a house in Copaigue so I have boated there a little bit, but only a couple times and never in a performance boat. Boat is a 36' Warlock Cat, twin blower motors. I was thinking about dropping the boat in at Tanner park and boating in the bay on sunday. Are there noise regulations in the bay, and if so are they very strict on them? Is there a speed limit on the bay? What areas, if any, should I avoid? Anything unusual to watch out for? Lastly, anyone on here gonna be out there on Sunday? I'll be doing the Glen Cove Run on saturday and given nothing breaks, I wanted to rip around in the bay on sunday.

Awsome...I had to cancel for this weekend so that I can come the 16th. I'll definately be at the Hot Toddy Run as well. StormRider, are you gonna come on the sixteenth now? My plan was to be there friday at about 6, so I'm sure it will be the same for the 15th if I end up going. Slandrew, yes I have sea strainers...I heard some stories from JC about sucking up the sea grass. Tripps, excellent news about the no noise and speed rules, I can't wait to play in there. I will definately be careful with all those boats out there.

You've got to be kidding.......?

I doubt that there is an OB Skater running UNDER 100.

Absolutely will...Plus I need 93 Octance and most places don't carry it on the water. If they did it would be well over $4 a gallon.
