Default 3M Paint protector film

Anyone know anything about this stuff. I know they put it on the fronts of Exotic cars to protect against rock chips and scratches. I just saw an ad that they now use it on Prevost busses to protect the paint. My question is can we use it on our boats? My boat is headed to the paint show today for the second time in a month to repair a few little scratchs and chips. If this stuff would work on boats, I would have it installed today. Even for protecting the deck from bird crap and dirt.
Anyome know anything about it? Thank you

Its Rob/Offshoredrillin's business. He's your man on the spot.

Rob is coming out here soon to fit our new six seaters (44'). He should have a pattern after that.

I was thinking about this this weekend as I just did a new porsche for a customer. It is nice and thick and was thinking of putting some on some areas that get rubbed a lot. It contours well and is relatively easy to install on flat surfaces. Compound curves take some practice. I can get it in bulk rolls , have to check on widths though. The car and truck kits I order pre cut. Here is a link to the brand I use. Have been using their tint and clearshield for at least 10 years now and am very happy with the products. www.clearshield.com

Spoke to Rob/Offshoredrillin today. I'm going have him come down and do my whole boat. I can't understand why this isn't more popular. I know everytime my boat goes to the paint shop for touch up it's always a few thousand $$. This is going to eliminate so many headaches.
