It wasn’t quite what Team Fountain wanted, far from it actually, but Fountain Powerboats President David Knight still had excitement in his voice, despite a breaking on the first lap and finishing second in the touted Super-Vee Unlimited class, during Sunday’s fifth annual Fountain Powerboats Grand Prix.

Not my words.

Cat Killer? With magic engines?
You mean Fountains actually have mechanical breakdowns like other boats? Don't say it's so? You do realize that Ben and Bob didn't finish that race, right? They BROKE.

They could pull it out of a dumpster and put it back together again, drink a couple beers and still finish ahead of the Apache.

Old muscle Cars are the bomb, the new Mustangs, Corvetts etc. are for sissys! This is why I like Apache's and Cigs.
Cars today are far faster then they were in the 60's and 70's.

Speed, speed, speed. Who cares. Anything can be made to go fast. Cool is cool, Apaches are cool. Tough is tough, Apaches are tough. History is important, Apaches wrote some of the best history.

If I could own one, I would. (and so would most of the other guys here that won't admit it)
It's like a vintage car...

Remember who is winning today will be the winning history tomorrow.

I was wondering about that.
Early in the vid, the landings looked a little violent, kinda bow heavy. I would have thought to trim it up a little and land a little more "mid" - but, I guess if the wave pattern was really uncommon, it would leave you really susceptible to a full on stuff, or a big launch followed by a nasty "trip".

And the record still stands. Who holds the records and is winning today?
