We have 6 on the west coast and 6 on the east coast. With one in reserve in mayport. For a total of 13, but we really only use the 12
I'm flying out to Bremerton, WA on sunday to do some business process improvement stuff on the John Stennis for 2 weeks. That will be pier side though, which is a piece of cake.

west coast is considered all pacific operations, while east coast is considered all atlantic operations.
That being said. The kitty hawk is stationed in Yokosuka, Japan but all other west coast carriers are based out of san diego, bremerton, WA and Everett, WA.
The east coast carriers are all out of Norfolk, with one in jax I think.

Davere: I could debate you on this but this is not the place. You want to start a thread in General feel free. Sufice it to say there are a lot of guys/galls in the millitary that if not for the militatary would be doing bad things and have no jobs, and not be going on to higher education.
