Serious setup!


Gino do you dunk the trailer when you launch it? I am
curious as how the FL pulls it out on a wet ramp.
I cannot pull my tub out of the swomp without 4 wheel drive.

Then again the FL has much more weight over the rears
then my one ton dually.

That has to be one of the best looking boats in existence. I was at the ramp on the little scooter when you were pulling out on Sunday Gino. I wanted to introduce myself, but you looked pretty busy, and the ramp was jammed. I will be in Cumberland and would love a closer look at your boat. Glad to hear things are going well for you.

It doesn't run on gas -- Gino just wads up $100 bills and stuffs them in the intake. :eek: And that's just the tow rig -- the boat runs on diamonds. :D

We pulled the 4300 Nor-Tech out at LOTO with a similar rig to Gino's and didn't slip much at all. It was the maiden voyage for the truck and it did great. It could use a little more horsepower, but then again you can never have enough :D

I have 2 trailers, my aluminum I use locally and my tilt for away runs (it tows better). I occasionally dunk the one trailer. My truck does slip sometimes, espically at low tide with a slick ramp. I just had a box made for the back or the truck, it has 110 gals of fuel capacity with a fuel pump and hosr stet up. The other side has a 110 gallons of water capacity for the mounter presure cleaner and the water pump for engine flushing. The rest of the box is for storage. It has a spot in the middle for the motorcycles forks to fit in to. This box has made the truck ride much smotther and dosen't slip as much. I'm glad I had it made. Worked out better then I had hoped.

Thats a sweet truck Gino.
Lets get some stripes on there to match that Bad A$$ ride.

The FL is one of the haulers I have been looking at.
As well as the International.
I am 15 minutes to the ramp. So my one ton
has been filling the part.

Next year we would like to start traveling with the boat.

The wheelbase is a big factor in my situation.
My trailer is 61 feet with drive guard.
The combo yields close to 81 feet.
So one of my concerns
is to keep the Truck wheelbase as short as possible.


A locking diff would also help on the wet ramp.

I have driven the International, the F650 and of coarse the Freightliner. The ride and turning radius on the freightliner blows the others away!! That was the determining factor when buying it.
