Default Surveyor near Burlington VT.?

I am from NJ and purchasing a boat located near Burlington VT. Can anyone recommend a competent surveyor from that area? Perhaps one that can perform compression test as well. I would like to have one done ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Regards, Mark

I know that VT Home & Marine could do a compression test for you, that's where a lot of us in the area get work done. I don't know if they do full blown surveys, but they could certainly do the compression test for you.

Thanks for the link. None of you up north guys on this board can recommend a surveyor for that area? None from Lake George area would go over there if there are none in VT?

I'm sure there are, not any that I can think of off the top of my head. All of the guys around here who've recently bought boats bought them in other states.

What boat are you looking at?

Thanks for the info. I put a deposit on a 33 scarab w/ brand x power . It has the Volvo 600 DPX package. It ran on Lake Champlain. Any of you guys know it? I am replacing my 33 w/ HP 500s which I rolled in mid July.

Who are you getting it from? A dealer or is it private? Doesn't ring any bells with me.

The only 33 Scarab I can think of is the Life Insurance or Investment guy that parks a couple slip down from the gas docks in King Street.

I guess it's Scarab105. Made the milk run a few times if I recall correctly... I think His brother also owns a Scarab 33.

It's a FAST boat!

Is this the boat?
