For some, boating is the first place to "cut back" when times look tough..
For others its the last..

No, Ive gone 2 years without boating. The Firefox will be for sale in the Spring. I made a lot of money, but paid out a lot of life.
I figure OSO classifieds will house 2000 boats by then. I'll be there too!

Yup gas prices are partially to blame, insurance hasn't gone up that much (at least for me) but I think most people are over reacting like out skittish trader friends on Wall Street (they must have been beaten as children LOL!). Everybody got used to making 50,000% appreciation on their homes and now that the market is correcting it's a full blown panic. Just a little modification on they way you go boating and it is still reasonable, if the words reasonable and boating can be used in the same sentence LOL!! Lay off the WOT a little more, take shorter trips, raft up with friends more, learn to do some basic maintenance on the boat and save on mechanic's bills, trailer instead of rack storage, etc. and you can still have some fun in our sport. So while everybody has their boat on the block in a panic, I'll be out playing...feel free to wave to me from the beach!!!

I tend to disagree there are a few good deals here and there and far between but for the most part they are all over priced i bought my 222 Stinger and i though it was over priced i mean all in all it wasnt a bad deal for what i got but now i want to move up and im like whoa its like 15K just to move up 4 feet and thats i mean and ok need a little work. Any my 2 cents
