Here on Cobb Island, MD......The island is closed....there is 6 feet of water before the bridge....no one on or off since about 5:30pm today. Bill barely made it here and only because he was in a 4x4 crew cab dually. Capt. John's restaurant is going under water.

We rescued the jet ski from our lift by driving it onto our neighbor's yard that is lower than ours and then pushing the trailer under the jet ski and winching it up on the trailer....dragging it to our property and then using a friends Explorer the rest of the way. We were afraid the dually would be too heavy for the wet ground.

Our dock is slowly being destroyed. We are loosing the top boards. The stairs are already gone. I already saw an upside down boat about 13 feet go under our dock....scared the crap out of me. I was so paralized...I didn't get a picture. Several trees have come down on the island....but we still have power. We took some pitcures that I will work on downloading. The ramp where we launch the Fountain is more under water than we have ever seen it.

High tide was a little while ago. We have seen a friends dock destroyed....we will have a lot of clean up on the island tomorrow. Doesn't look like anyone will be leaving by land any time soon.

Southern Maryland got hit hard.

Hope this finds everyone safe.
Patti and Bill

I better go down and check on the boat. The electric is f'ed up and my lift isn't working, I hope it's high enough.

We had the power go on and of at least 5 times since late last night and I have a bunch of branches down in my back yard. It's not really a steady wind at my house but there are some big gusts. I'm sure the wind is steady down by the beach, I'll take a camera with me.

I have been out in some stupid seas in the apache and she just ran her ace off! Just cant get too much speed cause you are airborne so much. Maxed out around 55-58 in some 8-10 footers about 3 months ago. Came home with not a scratch on her either, worst that happened is the nose tank fuel fill cap flipped up so I had to send Mike up there in rolling seas with no bow rail to close it. That was bad, almost went over twice.
This was the extent of the damage here in Palm beach for this particular storm.
I will say this, I did board up the house since Wilma kicked my royal ace last year and the fear of having more windows blown out and extensive damage and knowing the weather people do their best but just cant forecast these things right I felt it was the responsible thing to do to board up the house for that "just in case" scenario.
Im glad it went weak in the last few hours and we got away with just this.
I have one flood light that broke off the mounting on the one corner of my house, and a broken latch on my gate to my back yard, all in all about 8 bucks worth of parts to repair everything from this storm. Far cry from the 74 grand from last year.
Hope everyone else faired well too!

For NJ they say Monday should be mostly Sunny with clouds. That looks like the best day to try and go out. I feel the swells will still be here though. Probably the best bet will take a ride up the Hudson or to the sand pit on the Sound. I only have a 28 Pantera so I will probably go around Statin island and come out at the Statue of Liberty. No way I could go through the mess you have posted.
