Default Twins or single motors

I have been wondering about this for years! I have always been told by people that a boat with twin 150 motors will give you more speed than one three hundred. I thought this would be the place to find out the truth. Some one must of tried this before since most of you on this site is driving fast perfomance boats.

Default Re: Twins or single motors

Based on weight alone a single of equal horsepower will be faster than twins. There is also an element of drag that needs to be calculated.
