Re: appreciate help on boat purchase

As a Broker, I am with LostinBostin on this one. Pay the money and spend the time at Tres's course. Learing to drive a high performance boat is best when taught, not trial and error. That is how people kill themselves and others and our insurance rates spike.
After the course you will know more about what you are looking for in a boat. I will throw out a few suggestions to point you in the right direction:
1. 29 Wellcraft Scarab twin 350's (Preferably 350 mags with Bravo's...the last forever)
2. 29 Fountain with small blocks 350 or 377. Dont Get big blocks this early in your boating. Dont know you, never met you, its still too much power!
3. 29 Baja with twin 454 or 502's.
4. Formula 292 Fastec with 377 is always a great chice.

Best of luck in your search!

Re: appreciate help on boat purchase

Just traded-in a 292 Formula w/377's/6.2MX's, and that thing is amazingly easy to drive quickly and safely. Great step-up boat. Kept stock, it'll virtually never break.
