I use the CMI mufflers in my Gladiator with stock 500's and 5" exhaust. It brought the noise down to 91 Db from alot more than that. Best part was the 30 minute install and only about a 1 mph loss at top speed

I have CMIs on my 525 and have not been hasseled yet (knock on wood) but I lost about 4mph, but I love the sound

Kaama it was in GH, on wensday, they gave me a repair and report. I was hoping somebody running 950 to 1000 hp was already running this mufflers so I could buy with and know they will work.

Nykamp, I'm telling you, the downtubes are the way to go. I have staggered #6's with 1000hps, and they work great, no back pressure once on plane. The center exhaust pipes only have 3/4" between them and the clamp-on's fit. They're quiet as hell at idle. I'm not near the boat now, but i will be this weekend, i'll take a picture.
