NJPPC's Labor Day Poker Run Pics
NJPPC never stops trying to satisfy its members.
Today they had a huge turnout for their new style of Poker Running.
It was such a success, you will probably see 2 more of these events added to the 2007 season schedule.

Great job NJPPC!!!

Re: NJPPC's Labor Day Poker Run Pics
NJPPC's 1st Wave Runner Poker Run - HUGE SUCCESS!!!
After deciding NOT TO RUN on Saturday in 60mph winds, the Lobster Shanty was able to move our breakfast from Satutrday to Monday. The weather conditions were perfect and so was our turnout.
Yesterday at 8:30am, 26 wave runners and 2 jet boats converged on Barnegat Bay. We were still able to have all of our card stops thanks to NJPPC members Debbie Mazzo, Crazy Charlie Amorosi and Bob Thanel. Rick Kennard from MONOC also supported us with safety equipment to ensure that everyone was safe.
Our winners were (3 card stud):
1st Place - Alyssa Fiore with pair of 4's - $300 East Dover Marina Gift Certificate
2nd Place - Kevin Donnelley with a pair of 3's - $200 East Dover Marina Gift Certificate
The feedback from yesterday's event was that we should make this event part of the regular NJPPC calendar. For 2007 we will have at least 1 Wave Runner Poker Run with the possibility of 2.
Tony Sauta also thanked me for costing him $12,000 yesterday. His daughter refused to ride home on his "antique classic ski" because of the rough ride. I myself have an "antique classic ski" and the both Tony and I decided that we will be upgrading to NEW SKI's over the winter. Classic ski's are not cool like classic cars that is for sure!
Rumor has it that Rolf Papke of ProRoc, who was a spectator at the first card stop, will be looking for a ski this winter to supercharge himself and get in on the fun next season.
If you want to get a new ski now, visit http://www.eastdovermarina.com/ they have only a few left. Ask for Rick or Val and be sure to show your NJPPC membership card when making your purchase!
NJPPC member Tim Sharkey was also on hand to capture the fun on film. He shot 280 pictures which can be found @ http://pages.zdnet.com/sharkeymarine...oat/njppc.html
If you would like to order pictures, contact Tim at [email protected] details and prices. DO NOT ORDER THEM ONLINE. All of the pictures posted are low resolution and would produce poor quality prints.
Thank you again to everyone who participated and we look forward to seeing you next year!
