Looking For the Perfect Cat With These Specs

Right now I'm in the process of doing my homework on getting a new boat for next season. I going to buy used so brand new 07 boats are out of the question. I would prefer an 00-05 boat.

One option I'm looking at is going to a cat. The only issue is that I need these requirements:

1) Must be single engine inboard only
2) Must have twin Canopy glass, no windshield
3) Must have some sort of cabin that would allow for weekend overnights
4) 27-29 foot.

I know Eliminator Daytona's are an option but I don't know much after that. Any reccomendations, brand of boat pics, and pics of cabin space would be greatly apprecieated. Thanks in advance for the help.

Sounds like an Eliminator 27 would fit the bill.

Eliminator, DCB, Nordic - all good boats.

Not to rain on anyone's parade, but have you checked into the insurance costs yet? Not too many are insuring cats (Markel is the only that will currently insure in Florida) and those that do insure them do so at a hefty cost - believe me, I know. I have a 30' Motion O/B cat. My insurance increased by more than $1200 for the 2006/7 policy year (no accidents, claims, citations or auto speeding tickets either). Just make sure you know what you are getting into cost wise.

I have a 30 Spectre with 300x's and my insurance is less then your increase. If you do your homework and call them all you may luck out as i did and find a deal. Have had mine insured with the same company for 2 years and upon my 06/07 renewal it dropped $80 bucks !!
