We ended up at PIB Yacht club on our friends boat with a last minute spur of the moment decision to go. We had an awesome time.

Sorry we didn't have your number 245Limited. We made it to Kelley's on Saturday and had a great time. Saturday night at PIB was fun. We did see a few friends there and it was a great time.

Donna/Ian, sorry we missed you guys. We had to get back to Mentor in order for our friends to attend a wake Sunday afternoon. It was a great way to celebrate the last weekend of Summer 2006.

We had a good but stressful weekend. Just when we were about to pull out of the driveway on Saturday, Ian discovered a problem with the ignition, all which seemed to indicate a bad fuel pump. Of course no one around here stocks the one we needed, after a zillion calls he finally jumped in the car and drove all the way to Columbus, OH to Jeggs. The trip was about 3.5 hrs each way and he wound up driving through the middle of an Ohio State Game It was to late to install on Saturday so he was up bright and early Sunday morning. Unfortunately after all that it was not the fuel pump More investigation led to a crossed wire in the main dash panel. That fixed we proceeded on our 1.5 hr journey to the boat launch, well we had problems there as well, no fuel going to the starter, so after some panic and investigation it turns out he had left the cap on. Now we finally start out for the 40 mile trek to Kelly's for the worlds best Bloody Mary. The waves are pretty big at first so the rest of the LEOPA crew that were going to run with us decided to head in the other direction. Now on our own, we head towards the islands, we decide to take the route on the south side of PIB in quest of calmer water, we are not that familiar with that route and our GPS screen was all most impossible to read in the glare. Excited that we finally arrived we made our approach looking for the Casino, only to find out we were at Cataba Island After regrouping Ian figured out where we were and shortly after that we arrived at our destination and saw the smiling face of Race Girl and Roger waving to us from the Tiki Bar, finally at last I had what I will from now refer to as my $500.00 Bloody Mary. I also found out what Mr P is willing to go through for what was probably our last day on the lake this year.

We will keep that in mind if we need one. Our problem however was just a simple case of some old wires that caused a shot, a problem that could have cost no money. So now we have a new fuel pump and the old, which was pretty old anyway as a spare.

Dean where are you located it does not show under you user name

Cool Re: cleveland boating and stuff

Ms P,
We just missed you guys. You were just arriving when we were leaving. You had to back out for one boat leaving and we were the second one that came out. Very nice boat...sorry to hear about the problems...we would love to have met you guys and RG as well. We did end up staying at PIB Saturday night and headed to Kelly's about noon on Sunday. It was a great last weekend!
We headed to the boat show when we left Kelly's but no one could tell us where we could slip the boat so after about 25 minutes we just pulled out.
Maybe we can get together next year!

You boat looked real nice, I was wondering if that was you, too bad your did not stay a little longer I would have introduced you to RG and Roger and a few others. I think we hung out until around 5:00 the ride home was awesome the lake had laid down quite a bit so we were able to really run it, I still can't belive it was probably our last time out
