You're boating al Lake of the Ozarks. That's brutal on holiday weekends. If ride is your #1 criteria, I'd go with the most length, freeboard and deadrise.

Compare both boats and go for a rough water ride.

Happy shopping!

Everyone on here is goin to have their own views. What you find important and what is a good ride is subjective. What I may tolerate and and say is ok, about a boat in rough water, you might find to unacceptable. The only true way to find out is drive both boats, on the type water you boat on mostly. You will know which one fits your needs. The worst thing that could happen is you like both...happy shopping.

Very Elequently said Beak, Now for my opinion, we all love our boats, we all think there wonderful till they break, as far as putting a Baja against a Fountain in any test is silly. I have 2 35' Fountains one a supervee and one an executioner. Go on Sharkeys Ocean city pics and see how it handles 8'
sea's while racing, better yet go to www.npba.com glencove pokerun oct 2003 and look @ the triple blue 35'x and see how it handles 8' seas. Baja loyalist lets see some pics

The question was :Quality of ride 36 Baja vs. 35 Fountain?

36 Outlaw : 24 degrees deadrise, real 36 feet boat... Splashed from the Cigarette Mistress mold... More like a Cig to me.

36 Outlaw - Hands down if you want the ride quality...

No beak, no pad, no steps, no bull no sh@##t
